Diversion Programs
Diversion programs offer eligible individuals an alternative to traditional criminal justice processing. They connect participants with services and support—such as substance use treatment, counseling, or peer recovery coaching—to address underlying needs, encourage accountability, and support positive change. Requirements and eligibility vary by program and location.

Taking The High Road
“Taking the High Road is a completely new and unique 41-page drug education workbook and program for offenders at all levels of criminal justice — drug courts, parole and probation, community corrections, jails, and prisons. It utilizes an approach of brutal honesty and openness and has participants share their ideas, thoughts, and experiences in a group format. The program can be operated as an educational class or in an open-ended group. Traditional drug education for offenders attempts to scare participants but, as all criminal justice professionals know that approach simply has no discernible effect on this population. The program consists of eight modules where participants first read the relevant module and answer questions posed at the conclusion of each. In group, each participant then shares his or her response with the group.”

Driving The Right Way
“Driving the Right Way is a 33-page, 4-module program aimed at changing thinking and decision-making in first-time offenders. The program is incorporated into DUI programs in accordance with a state’s hourly educational/treatment requirements of which the Driving the Right Way component comprises 6 to 8 hours.”

Something For Nothing
“Something For Nothing is a 17-page, 6-module program designed to confront and expose the thinking and behaviors associated with shoplifting. It targets shoplifters who are placed on probation, diversion programs, or ordered to undergo a shoplifting treatment program.”
*All aforementioned programs have been developed by Correctional Counseling, Inc., the sole distributor of Moral Reconation Therapy® materials. For more information, visit: www.ccimrt.com. More specific programs may be available through Broken Chains Consulting Services. Contact us for inquiries.
